Position: Product & Marketing Administration Officer

Responsibilities:

As the Product & Marketing Administration Officer, you will be working very closely with the product, marketing, sales, and inventory teams of the company, and providing back-office support to them. You will be required to raise purchase orders for sales and marketing (in consultation with and after approval from the respective manager/exec), update publishing schedules, prepare monthly AI packs, order forms and costing grids, create title master entries, work on e-book pricing, prepare lists/order forms needed by the product and sales team, requisition copies for trade, media and awards submissions, coordinate with sales and maintain distribution lists of Point-of-Sale material. You will need to be computer proficient in Advanced Excel and be able to rapidly gain familiarity with our in-house marketing, stock and bibliographic systems.

You will report to VP-Product & Marketing.

You will be based at Delhi/NCR offices of the company.

Position: Sales executive/ Sr sales executive

Incumbent would need to:

  • Achieve monthly , quarterly and annual targets set by company including sales revenue, returns, discount/margin and collections follow-up
  • Sell by building and developing relationships with customers (retailers and distributors).
  • Provide support, information, and collecting orders in a timely manner Identify product as well as new channel opportunities
  • Report regularly on the market as per formats provided
  • To remain current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Have fair communication skill.

Job involves:

  • Product knowledge of the company catalogue and segment wise selling of the same mainly to trade
  • Travel for Regional coverage / representation across territories/states/regions allocated
  • Timely reporting from the field: Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
  • Business development: Establish special / corporate / new avenues for non-trade sales
  • Customer relationships / Key account management including follow up for payables Event management in territory as required,
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Accurate forecasts for territory / reviewing sales performance

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Sales Planning: Meeting Sales Goals and deadlines,
  • Fiscal awareness & responsibility: a sense for sales numbers and profitable selling, impact of stock and returns, managing expenses within budget etc
  • Channel and customer enhancement: customer development, maintaining & building Relationships,
  • Business development: Establish special / corporate / new avenues for non-trade sales
  • Communications: Negotiation, Prospecting Skills, pitching & presenting product, author liaison,
  • Computer and IT: functional to proficient level computer skills (Excel, word, PowerPoint)

Publicity and Marketing Executive

If you love books and have innovative ideas on how to market them, then this role provides an excellent development opportunity.

You will work on an exciting range of adult fiction and non-fiction titles as well as on our excellent list of Children’s books.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be tasked with planning and executing campaigns from researching the target media and connecting with influencers to creating any point-of-sale material like posters, bookmarks etc.
  • Other responsibilities will include answering queries from the media, managing authors, online and offline events, coordinating with bookshops over events and publicity material, organising review mailings, helping with database development, necessary supervision for publicity material, and designing catalogues.
  • Handling social media of the company will be a key part of the job – this will include running Google ads, building brand presence and visibility across all the platforms. Technical knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, metrics and tracking will be essential.
  • You will also organise book prize submissions for our titles as well as liaise with literary festivals to ensure that the author management at these events works smoothly.

The role requires creativity, good communication and time management skills. You will enjoy being a key member of the team, building collaborative relationships with authors and editorial colleagues, and having the opportunity to attend events and festivals.

Your functions and work will be in line with the Company’s business plan and growth strategy.

You will report to VP-Product & Marketing.

You will be based at Delhi/NCR offices of the company.

Qualifications

It’ll be great if you have at least one year’s experience in PR or marketing and in pitching for media coverage across print, broadcast and online to create arresting and sales-driving launch campaigns.
