His lovable, round pups, rendered in just a few simple lines, are instantly recognisable and beloved for their depiction of canines in human roles, bringing their dogs-eye view to human concerns.

The juxtaposition of their simple world - comprised only of food, play and the goings-on of their owners - against the utterly human tasks of going to therapy, talking business, or seeing a lawyer - is both adorable and hilarious. A towering judge reprimands the puppy hunched abashedly before him, 'just look at you, you know you're guilty'. A dog lies on the therapist's couch and laments, 'they moved my bowl'.
