Bobby Robson

Bobby Robson was born in 1933 in the heart of the mining community in Sacriston County Durham. He won twenty caps for England before embarking on a management career. In 2007 he set up the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation in support of the Cancer Trials Research Centre at the Freeman Hospital which serves the North East of England. He died on 31 July 2009.
