Steve Stammers

Steve Stammers is a respected football journalist with over 35 years' experience of covering London football. He has worked on the London Evening News Daily Star and currently writes for The Sunday Mirror. But it was during his 22 years at the Evening Standard that he formed a close professional bond with Arsenal. Throughout his career he has interviewed every Highbury legend and was the first journalist to break the news of Arsène Wenger's appointment as manager in 1996. He is also the English-based director of Patrick Vieira's Diambars charity - a football and education programme for Senegalese children.
