The Complete Book Of Origami Animals

David Woodroffe

Origami is the ancient Japanese art of paper folding, the name coming from the words ori, meaning 'folding' and kami, meaning 'paper'. Traditionally, there is no cutting or gluing used in origami and all models begin with a plain, square sheet of paper. Origami has been around since the 6th century although most techniques still in use today originate from the 17th century with different models rely on using the same basic folds in different ways.

David Woodroffe combines ancient and modern techniques to create a collection of animal models that range from simple paper folding for beginners through to more advanced creatures for those with the nimblest of fingers and hours of patience!
