It's the last day of term at the Gilda Ball Academy and time is running out. Running out for Martin the English teacher who hasn't noticed his marriage crumbling and his health deteriorating. And for Béla who's been plotting revenge since Martin had him expelled after an incident that left the school's Deputy Head dead.

When Martin is confronted with an anonymous note accusing him of abuse he naturally assumes it came from Béla.

The truth as he will discover is never quite that simple.
