Michael Warburton is a freelance writer from Stockport. He has written articles for magazines such as Runner's World and Cheshire Life, as well as jokes and sentimental verses for greetings cards, plus quizzes for county publications. He currently sets crosswords for, amongst others, The Independent (under the pseudonym Scorpion), Daily Telegraph (as Osmosis), Financial Times (as Aardvark) and The Times. He lives with his wife Sue, and their terrier Stanley.
